A beautiful colonial house from 1794 made of volcanic stone restored in 2008. It was originally the Casa de la Moneda (where the currency was minted), a national historic monument. The complex is subtly luxurious and enchanting with its high ceilings, patios, rooms and restaurant. Note that the two senior suites and the imperial suite occupy the original mansion. The other rooms are more recent and of a more modern design.
