Lava-stone houses, each with a real garden, with basic comforts and dated bathrooms.
Cuada is a former settler village, abandoned by the inhabitants in the 1960s; one has to imagine that it had 120 inhabitants in 1800, reputed to be good weavers. Today, 14 rural houses have been reconstituted and fitted out. The comfort is rather basic and the bathrooms very dated, especially considering the price of the night, but the whole is full of charm and the staff is attentive. The lava stone houses each have a real garden and the village has a restaurant with terrace. Excellent breakfast.

This is thanks to the one-of-a-kind setting with incredible views, authentic homes turned into hotel rooms and a friendly cow as our bedroom view. Staff were wonderful too, really friendly and easy-going.
Given the old nature of the houses, don't expect fancy hotel room luxury and they got pretty humid inside but the dehumidifiers did help. All this was more than made up for by the unforgettable vistas!
Wenn wir wieder einmal auf Flores sind, dann werden wir wieder diese Unterkuft buchen!
Einfach TOP!
