EGLISE NOSSA SENHORA DO ROSARIO

Built in the ^16th century, the church was rebuilt in the ^18th century following damage caused by the earthquake of 1757. The interior contains precious religious art, as well as a beautiful Baroque pulpit. The organ, dating from the early ^20th century, was built by the workshop of artist Marcelino Lima in Horta, on the island of Faial. Finally, admire the low bell tower outside, unique in the island's religious architecture.
