Here you'll find the remains of two of the towers erected around the island in the 16th century to block the Spanish route. One of them, Fort do Negrito, housed a whaling station. This rectangular fort is painted white and has stone corners. Masonry covers the remaining facades, crowned by parapets with merlons and cannons in the north and northeast corners, with a tubular metal guard, painted blue. Inside, there are two small outbuildings, the smaller one for the janitor and the other for storage. You can swim without fear near the port, everything is well laid out.
