This campsite run by Vila do Porto is located in Praia Formosa, on the white sandy beach, directly overlooking the sea. You'll fall asleep to the sound of the waves! It features a number of tents, bungalows and shared bathrooms. Set back from the village, you'll need a car if walking isn't your forte. There's a bar on site where you can eat at good value for money. The staff are helpful and friendly. An economical option in a splendid setting.

Great place to camp near the beach on Santa Maria but make sure you are fully stocked or have a car if you need groceries etc as the village is a little but of a hike away but nothing crazy just annoying if you have alot of stuff to carry. The grounds are well maintained and the bathrooms, showers everything was clean and tidy. A little pricey but its all supply and demand. When we were there it was very quiet in May.
