BANHOS FERREOS

It is a large ferruginous water pool that comes from the geysers (calderas), hence the brown color of the water which can surprise, even worry.... But this is due to the concentration of iron in the water and not to dubious cleanliness! Although the hottest calderas, Pêro Botelho, still reaches 99°C, the water temperature in the basin rarely exceeds 35°C. Wash yourself well when you get out of the water because iron deposits on clothes are impossible to remove! An original and unique experience.
