These thermal baths offer a wellness area that can be enjoyed 365 days a year, come rain, shine or snow! Five pools of varying depths have been built along a naturally warm, ferruginous thermal spring. The result: an annual temperature of 39°C and orange bottoms. So beware of stains, although (cooler!) showers are provided at the end of the tour. We appreciate the extended opening hours, allowing you to enjoy the baths even in the evening, with their pretty colored lights. A pure moment of relaxation.

Nombreux bassins d'eau chaude à 38° dont un se mélangeant à l'eau froide d'une rivière passant au milieu du site. Bassins alimentés par les sources d'eau souterraines chauffées par les fumerolles du volcan. Relativement fréquentée, autorisation de rester sur le site 1h. Entrée 8€. A faire surtout de nuit pour profiter de la relative fraîcheur extérieure. Expérience relaxante après une journée de randonnée.

Après-midi dans les bains
Nous y sommes allés une fin d'après-midi lorsqu'il a plu (oui, il pleut souvent aux Açores !)
Beaucoup de monde, les prix ont un peu augmenté, mais de manière générale, c'était un agréable moment.
