What to do in São Miguel when it rains?

When it rains on São Miguel, you need to have a plan B in reserve! The island enjoys mild temperatures, even in winter (around 15°), so you can easily find something to do, even outdoors if it's not pouring.

Natural pools, such as the Ponta da Ferraria natural pool, are good examples. Ocean water mingles with hot springs, creating a relaxing bath unhindered by a few drops. The thermal baths of Furnas are another ideal option for relaxing on rainy days. Places like Boca da Dona Beija and Terra Nostra also offer hot springs of varying temperatures.
