Essential but little visited, this museum will make you an accomplished visitor to Rome. To understand the geographical evolution of the city through the centuries, this Museum of the Walls is located in the San Sebastiano Gate (3rd century AD), where the Via Appia Antica begins. It traces the history of Rome through the history of its walls with the help of commented reproductions (in Italian and English), all periods are evoked. As a bonus, it is possible to access a part of the wall walk, offering a splendid view.
