An original way to discover Rome is to borrow the Tiber River which crosses the city following a north-south axis. The company Battelli di Roma offers 6 km cruises from Nenni Ponte to Tibérine Island via Sant'Angelo. The "hop-on-off" formula is a commented cruise of one hour, but the ticket is valid 24 hours, during which you can get down and go back to the boat. The first departures take place around 10 p. m., the last ones around 19 p. m. according to the stops. The ticket price is 16 € (11 € for those under 13 years of age and older than 65).
Night cruises are also organized on Fridays and Saturdays (Thursday, March 15 to November 15). They leave at 21 h (present 15 minutes before) of Ponte'Angelo and last 2 hours 10 min without a stop. Two formulas: dinner (€ 58) or winebar (€ 39).
However, this service is suspended in 2013 for a still unknown period.
