From Santa Claus to La Befana, a typical Christmas market where young and old alike will be amazed by the stands full of delicacies.
The largest Christmas market in the city takes place throughout the month of December on Piazza Navona. Artists and troubadours show street shows. On the stands, in addition to various delicacies, you can find the figurines of the Befana, a broom witch who, according to popular tradition, distributes candy in the socks of wise children and coal in those of rascals. The market ends on 6 January, Epiphany Day, with the arrival of a Befana in flesh and bone that presents present to both small and large.
