Pyrotechnic shows and festivities to celebrate the patron saints of Rome. Saint Peter's Square is covered with flowers.

A public holiday for the Romans, June 29, there are many festivities in honour of the apostles of Jesus, Peter and Paul, the city's patron saints. Several events throughout Rome; among the most spectacular are the traditional Infiorata in St. Peter's Square and the Girandola in Castel Sant'Angelo. The first one sees the vast Vatican square covered with flower beds, while the second one is an exceptional pyrotechnic spectacle.
