the pizzas here are a classic roman style. the crust is very thin but holds its own structurally to the toppings and sauce that sit above. we ordered three pizzas, one with zucchini flowers and anchovies, the Montecarlo special, and a Margherita. the highlight was the Montecarlo special which comes with an egg on top. it was a cacophony of ingredients that work very well with a laid back sauce that does not overpower the ingredients. the zucchini flower and anchovy pie was also a delight, the salty flavours of the anchovies guiding the overall taste of this pizza. lastly were the desserts - we ordered a tiramisu and the berry panna cotta. wow were we impressed, we weren't thinking the desserts would live up to the pizza we just ate but the tiramisu was delightful, strong coffee flavour. and the panna cotta, wow chef kiss, nice consistency, sweet but not overpowering, just perfect.
