Trattoria Monti is a discreet restaurant located just behind the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, with a small, inconspicuous entrance, but its dishes are well known to Romans. Prices are fairly reasonable for the quality of the food served and the location. A few à la carte dishes of market cuisine, often rabbit or pork à la romaine, calamari and other fish from the catch of the day, all carefully presented and generously served. A fine address with a pleasant welcome in this tourist district.

Storico locale romano che affianca tradizione e innovazione. Piatti moooolto buoni. I miei preferiti: il raviolo (gigante) ricotta e spinaci con rosso d'uovo liquido, il coniglio disossato tartufato, la torta di pere caramellate su crema inglese. Ma anche il resto del menù vale più di un assaggio. Personale simpatico e cortese. Servizio rapido. Consiglio la prenotazione anche a pranzo. Prezzi nella medio alti. È vicino alla Stazione Termini e vicinissimo a piazza Vittorio. Parcheggio complicato, ma in via Buonarroti al numero 16, c'è un parcheggio privato che costa dai 3 ai 5€ l'ora.
