A rare gem and a true 10/10. We visited during a busy sunny lunch but chose to sit inside because the interiors are nothing short of cinematic. Everything is authentic and original which results in a time-travelling experience un-like many restaurants in the world. Because everyone else was outside there was nothing to indicate the modern resulting in the true fantasy of 1950s glamorous Rome. Please never change the interiors or add ugly modern features- it’s perfect just how it is ❤️ the owner was friendly and cool and all the waiters look sharp, elegant and professional in their white tuxedos and bow ties. My wine was one of the nicest I’ve had in years. Starter was tasty and unique and served on great plates.
I’d love to see a few more vegetarian/ vegan options, fresh Italian salads or vegetable pasta sauces, otherwise I cannot fault this restaurant. Thank you!
Upon entrance, this place is stuffy. We made a reservation online, showed up on time and were told we would need to wait an hour. (There were at least 5 tables empty.)
The host at the desk was rude and immediately judged us. Eat here if you want to pay high price for judgement and terrible service. Cannot speak for the taste of the food, as we left.
Piperno never fails to impress us! This was our second visit, and once again, it surpassed all expectations. The food here is consistently amazing. The service is good, with attentive staff. The atmosphere exudes a classic charm that adds to the overall experience. Piperno truly captures the essence of Italian dining in Rome. Can't wait for our next visit!
We tried to eat here on a Saturday. We arrived at 1:40, which was 50 minutes before they closed at 2:30 and were met at the door by a women who asked if we had a reservation. We did not of course and she hastily said well we’re full, however we could see the restaurant was almost empty with plenty of available tables. I figured she thought we would stay a long time and didn’t want to be stuck I asked if we could get a take out and she said “NO!” She was extremely rude and we were disappointed as we had heard great things about the restaurant. We opted to go to Sora Margherita instead and had a delicious meal. I had been warned that the locals of Rome dont like Americans and are rude to them and this woman definitely proved the person correct.
No, prenotiamo massimo 8 persone, troppa confusione! Ma ne posso prenotare due più piccoli? Ah no è lo stesso. BEH! COMPLIMENTI ALLA POLICY!
Locale sopravvalutato....ho mangiato meglio in altri ristoranti.
We made a dinner reservation for the day after Christmas that was confirmed. Unfortunately for us, the restaurant was closed. Evidently they decided to take reservations and confirm reservations, but couldn’t quite put it all together by actually making sure they actually opened their establishment. A pathetic display. Luckily no shortage of other solid options in the area, including the incredibly solid Dilla.
What a great time we had! The team was "not good, but very good!" ;) Food was wonderful. Whole experience from when we walked in to when we walked out was fantastic.
An amazing restaurant in a beautiful setting. Staff are helpful and friendly, the food is incredible and the wine selection fairly priced. The best carbonara I had in Rome and I had a lot!
The coperto was 7 Euro pP which is a bit high
