At the start of the Colosseum, in the heart of the Eternal City, the starting light is given to all marathon runners. In one of the most beautiful capitals of the world, this friendly marathon will delight everyone. Gladiators will even cheer you up during the race and will greatly encourage you to finish it, with a smile and in a good mood!

date: March 22, 2015

registration date: the last registrations must reach the organizers no later than around 7 March. They are open from the end of the summer, leaving the runners free to take the time to register.

maximum number of participants: this is a large marathon. About 15,000 marathon runners meet in Rome every year. 14,875 marathon runners completed it in 2014.

rates: rates range from €50 to €160 for last minute registrations. A rather large sum compared to other races organised in major European cities.

registration: registration is mainly done online on the event's website which has a dedicated platform.

Air France connects Rome and Paris daily.
Alitalia, the Italian airline, offers daily scheduled flights between France and Rome. Watch the website regularly as alitalia often presents promotions. Organised mainly in the city centre, the Rome Marathon offers participants the opportunity to discover all the hidden treasures of this city, starting from the old town via the via des corso, to reach the Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Piazza Venezzia and finishing a few kilometres later on the via del fort imperial in front of the majestic Colosseum. A real pilgrimage also with a passage planned in front of many religious buildings such as San Pietro without forgetting the mosque and the synagogue also present in Rome
