CASA DE ABRIGO DO POISO

At 1,400 m, Casa Abrigo houses a bar and restaurant. The exterior aspect is that of a big mountain house, and while the bar is plain although well stocked with ponchas, the restaurant is really that of a rustic chalet with carefully concocted regional specialities (açorda, pepper steak...). There is even a wood fire in the fireplace. The menu is traditional, and eating grilled fish or suckling pig roasted at this altitude, in the company of anorak hikers, will give you a remarkable souvenir.
