This unmissable Sunday flea market is a Madrid institution.

In addition to the items on offer, this flea market is also an event, a way to feel and experience Madrid's popular atmosphere. Calle San Cayetano is known as the street of painters, where you can buy numerous paintings, visit galleries and, above all, find frames. Calle San Ceferino is the street of birds. After the market, it's customary for Madrilenians to enjoy a drink in one of the many bars open for the occasion. Beware: this market is crowded and pickpockets are plentiful.

Se promener dans le Rastro le dimanche matin, c'est se mêler aux madrilains venus manger des "tapas" aux bars voisins tout en flânant parmi les stands du marché aux puces, donc pas seulement pour les touristes ! attention aux pickpockets par contre !
The rastro one Saturday morning is a real moment of pleasure. You can find everything here and the atmosphere. It is better to speak Spanish can negotiate because sellers tend to increase the prices when they see tourists.
The market is often crowded, so in the case of small groups, it is better to suit a square and one hour meeting.
