HOTEL EMPERADOR C.Gran Vía, 53, Centro, 28013 Madrid
GIUDIZIO : MOLTO BUONO

An excellent location at Gran Via. Close to the main city attractions, city bus tours, shopping centres, and other amenities. The hotel has a very beautiful decor, with clean rooms. The reception service was very helpful. The restaurant service was slow but the food was good. Photos show the Night scene from the roof terrace. There is a piano at the lobby / lounge - just go and play!

Room was small but comfortable
Noisy through the day as work was being carried out on the floor above but when we called reception they did tone it down
We chose this hotel because of location and 24 hour check in as we were arriving at 3am
There was no room available for us on arrival
We had to wait in the hotel foyer until 11am
There was no facility for us to even get a cup of coffee - the staff informing us we would have to wait until 7am or a 24 hour convenience store a short walk away which only had soft drink and chips, chocolate etc
What 5 star hotel sends their guests to a convenience store in the middle of the night
If they offer 24 hour check in they could at least have an area set aside for tea and coffee for quests arriving outside of their restaurant hours
Otherwise a pleasant stay and so close to everything
Would highly recommend Oskars cafe a short walk away for breakfast lunch or
Dinner. It was very well priced ( fed 2 of us for less than 1 meal at the hotel) Food and Staff at Oskars exceptional
Great location ...but less than desirable plain buffet breakfast (no egg station) and for reservation, if you are a family of 3 they show you just one Triple room online which backs into another building .
So if you book...look for a regular 2 person room with a view, as when we asked them to give a better room they demanded a 66 Euros per night extra .(inspite of the fact that their website doesn't show the better rooms when u say 2 adults and a minor), but are very happy to charge you an extra fee to give to a double room and no rules are broken then.
Nice hotel, I recommend. Location is perfect for tourists, and even though it’s on a busy street my room was super quiet. WiFi worked well. Staff were lovely. I didn’t have the breakfast, took a look one morning and decided not to bother - it wasn’t very appealing to me and the room smelled like a canteen. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure/ temperature was ideal, everything was spotlessly clean. Room temperature was good. Prices at the bar were ridiculous - €16.50 for a non-alcoholic gin or a simple mocktail. Crazy prices. Borrowed iron from reception. Roof bar/ terrace/ pool was closed. I enjoyed my stay
Great Hotel! Very clean and a great location. Front desk staff are kind, courteous, helpful and funny. Room cleaning staff are excellent and left our room extremely clean. I gave 3 stars for service for the rooftop bar, which is heavily promoted. Went up twice for a drink and could never get the waiter to help us. Not sure if it was because we are English speaking or not, but he certainly catered to the Spanish speaking customers. It was very frustrating and a waste of time, sadly.
Location and roof top ate good
