Next to the Auberge d'Italie, this former parish of the Knights of the Italian Language was designed by Gerolamo Cassar in 1576. Its façade was modified in the 18th century by Romano Carapecchia. Octagonal in shape, with a beautiful dome, it is dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena. The painting above the altar is signed by the most Maltese of the Calabrese, Mattia Preti, as is the dome, designed with painted stucco decorations and ornamental motifs in grey and gold.
