ROYAL MALTA GOLF CLUB

When it was founded in 1888 by Lieutenant-General Sir Henry D'Oyley Torrens, the Royal Malta Golf Club was established in the ditches surrounding Valletta. Over the decades, the original 9-hole course was extended to become an 18-hole course, designed by David Llewelyn and located within the facilities of Marsa Sports Club. This now provides a green course, punctuated by numerous bunkers. Although it is relatively short, it is nevertheless a pleasant course in a relatively urbanized environment.
