Zafer Burnu or Cape Apostolos Andreas is the north-eastern end of the island. The sea and rocky landscape is pleasant, but it is, of course, the situation of the «end» of the world (Cyprus) that is the interest of the place. We saw on the Kleides Islands still a little farther east.The traces of a Neolithic village (objects, bones, foundations), now named Kastros, have been found. It is one of the oldest inhabited sites on the island. A small community of fishermen and farmers apparently occupied the place. At the location of the village, a temple (of which nothing remains), dedicated to Aphrodite, was later set up.
