CYPRUS MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

This private museum (Κυπριακό Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας/Kypriako Mousio Fysikis Istorias) is housed within a Carlsberg brewery. It was created in 1996 by Photos Photiades (1920-2018), founder of the group that produces the Cypriot Leon and Danish Carlsberg beers here. Exhibition on the fauna, flora and geology of Cyprus, with naturalized animals, including a bluntnose sixgill shark (Hexanchus griseus), very present around the island but harmless to humans.
