VISIT NICOSIA

The Nicosia-Sud Municipal Tourist Office offers free three-hour guided tours of the city in English between four and eleven times a month. These start in March and end in December, but there are no tours in July and August, the capital's off-peak and (really) too-hot season. To take part, consult the calendar and register on the website. The themes vary: archaeology, Venetian fortifications (southern part), museums and, more rarely, religion.
