Resort with a swimming pool, in the heart of a national park in Big Sur, serving as a starting point for long walks
This resort of 61 guesthouses is located in the heart of a national park. Large and comfortable, though not very stylish, they are designed to accommodate couples and families of up to six people. From May to September, you can also swim in a pool. As for the restaurant, it's a good one. But above all, the resort serves as a starting point for long walks between the immense redwoods, you can choose between the forest, the mountains and the sea. Special mention to the waterfall of Pfeiffer Beach, particularly spectacular.

Beautiful location, but the cabins are old and badly kept.

Great location within Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park and begin of two great hiking trails (less than 5 miles loop or return). More state parks are close by. The cabin provided fast and sufficient heating. We bought a bagel toaster and used the refrigerator for milk and cheese. So, we could prepare our own breakfast. Once we tried out the restaurant. The burger was cold and we left. Unfortunately, the three large cabins 10, 11, and 12 are not standing separately but share walls. Thus, neighbor noise in the early morning disturbed our sleep. The views are marvelous since you see many trees, especially Redwoods which I like very much. I think I would like to come back. Please stay on the trail and obey rules and regulations. Make it possible to return and see the natural beauty again - untouched.
