RAKIURA NATIONAL PARK VISITOR CENTRE

This DOC center is a necessary passage to get information on the island in a general way. Especially to know the weather, the rangers' advice, the state of the trails, the possible floods. It is the first place you should go to, about 5 minutes walk from the ferry. The staff on site is very qualified and competent. Do not hesitate to ask questions about the fauna and flora which are unique in the world. Moreover, you can make very useful purchases there.
