Superb: the 26-hectare botanical garden features a Rose Garden, Begonia House and other flower beds and sculptures. Every summer, during "Garden's Magic", the gardens are illuminated and host free concerts every evening from Tuesday to Sunday. At the foot of the gardens, the old cemetery on Bolton Street is well worth the detour, allowing you to return to the city by extending the walk (or, if you're leaving the city, to extend the walk straight away to go to the gardens!). For a view of the stars, visit the Carter Observatory.
