HÔPITAL

The hospital has volunteers who can guide you to your appointment if you need help. Maps and signs are available throughout the hospital, and a copy of the main building map is available from reception in the main lobby. Each building is marked on the map with a different color. All staff carry ID cards and are happy to help. After-hours access (9:30pm to 6:00am) is via the after-hours entrance at the south end of the hospital, near the delivery room and emergency room entrances on Riddiford Street. Direct bus services link the hospital to downtown Wellington and most of its eastern, western and southern suburbs. You can reach the city by bus or train from Hutt Valley, Eastbourne, Wainuiomata, Johnsonville / Tawa, Porirua or Kapiti, then take a connecting bus to the hospital. The hospital is a 10-15 minute bus ride from the train station, airport and ferry terminal.
