You can buy your ticket in birrs, euros or dollars at the main entrance to the northern group of churches in Lalibela. This is also where you'll find the toilets and a cash dispenser (to withdraw money if you don't have enough), as entry is by cash only. Unfortunately, it often runs out of cash, so plan to take your euros, dollars or birrs with you, or withdraw cash from another ATM. Passport required, with the number on your receipt, which is personal and valid for 5 days.
