VILLA CHAÏM FRENKEL (CHAIMO FRENKELIO VILA)

The palace was built in 1908 and owned by Chaïm Frenkel, a local industrialist. Between 1920 and 1940, it housed a Jewish school. Then, in Soviet times, it became a military hospital. Today, one room is devoted to the region's Jewish history. The rest of the exhibition is dedicated to the history of Little Lithuania and the city since the ^19th century. The building itself is well worth a visit. The pretty park is open to visitors.
