From the top of its spire (75 m high), the highest in Lithuania, the cathedral dominates the city. Built in the 16th century, burned down and then rebuilt in a Renaissance style, it gained its status as a cathedral in 1997. From here, you have a beautiful view of the city. In the chapel, there are relics belonging to Pope John Paul II. It was on his decision that the diocese of Šiauliai was established on 8 May 1997 and the church became a cathedral.

Originality
the church with the 2000 statues, as it is called. The lighting in the shape of a boat is impressive. The only downside, the church is a little compared to the centre. For believers, Soeur Faustine lived in a house next door.
