CHURCH OF THE ARCHANGEL SAINT-RAPHAËL

Not far from the Green Bridge (Žaliasis tiltas), this Baroque church (Šv. arkangelo Rapolo bažnyčia) dates from the first half of the 18th century. The construction lasted from 1702 to 1709, thanks to donations from a rich lord. The Jesuits settled there. The towers are in rococo style. Its interiors are worth a visit, especially the altar which is also in rococo style and a painting representing the archangel Saint Raphael. Masses are celebrated in Polish and Lithuanian.
