Harvesting berries is part of Latvian DNA: blueberries, blackcurrants, lingonberries, elderberries... We eat them as they are, of course, but they are also used to prepare infusions and liqueurs. Yet this distillery, just a few kilometers south of Cēsis, has dubbed itself the "health laboratory", to show that the emphasis is more on the benefits of plants than on getting drunk. Alongside berries, you'll also find apple brandies and pumpkin brandy. The fruit is harvested by hand.
