AROUND BRĪVĪBAS IELA

Brīvības iela in itself is not of particular interest, as on this street the business district, offices, a theatre and more broadly commercial activity are concentrated. Brīvības iela (Freedom Street) remains Rīga's longest main street, which leads directly to Sigulda, the country house and nature park district. However, be sure to visit the Gothic church of St. Gertrude(Sv. Ģertrūdes baznīca, Ģertrūdes iela 8) and the Alexander Nevsky Orthodox church(Pareizticīgo katedrāle, Brīvības iela 56).
