Residence of Capuchin monks right next to St. Louis Cathedral with permanent exhibitions.
Located right next to St. Louis Cathedral, the Presbytery was, when it was built at the end of the 18th century, the residence of the Capuchin monks and was called Casa Curial (Ecclesiastical House). This building was built to go with the Cabildo (the town hall at that time) and was finished in 1813. For a long time it was a market, until 1834 when a court was installed. Since 1911, the State has made it one of its most attractive museums. Two permanent exhibits are on display, one on Mardi Gras and the other on Hurricane Katrina.

Aucun édifice espagnol dans lequel aucun curé n'habita. Aujourd'hui il abrite le musée du carnaval et l'on peut se renseigner sur le héros , Rex et sur ses deux compagnons Comus et Proteus.
