Update: The general manager contacted me with every intention of resolving the issues I experienced. He stated that the room I was in was pulled for further inspection to address the issues. We came to an agreement to remedy the situation. I plan to check out their other locations that have been recently renovated. It is rare to find a company that stands behind their claim of quality being important. I really appreciate the communication and effort that was put forth.

This place is run-down. The hallways smell like urine. The rooms smell musty, so you have to keep the air on to minimize the odor. The lady we checked in with was pleasant. Everyone after her made us feel like an inconvenience. I usually stay at the Four Points Sheraton but wanted to be down the road where there was more action. I will stay at the Sonesta next time. This place is a true example of -you get what you pay for.

This hotel is a gem. Located on the corner of bourbon you would think the noise levels would be unbearable but I'm here to tell u. That is the furthest from the truth. Quiet and tranquil on the inside with a fabulous restaurant attached. Rooms are always clean and fully stocked. Walking distance to great places to eat and have a few cocktails. Def my go to everytime I'm in the city!

We had a couple issues the first day; the safe had a low battery warning and our TV wasn’t working. Both issues were addressed and fixed before the end of that same day.
The room itself was a deluxe king, which on the website states has “views of the French quarter.” Ours had a view of part of the roof and the rooms on the other side of the hotel. Not the view I was hoping for. But the room was clean and the shower was hot and had amazing water pressure, which honestly made up for the view.
Overall a wonderful stay. We will definitely stay here again when we return to New Orleans.
