I liked the room on the 15tg floor despite it only had the view to inner yard. Maybe even too much space in the room fo myself. The staff was ok but could be more friendly. New to me was the lack of a real restaurant/bteakfast room. Instead you have to order your food on a tablet with a bit less selection. I suppose even Hilton has started a savings program. The Hilton Honors mobile app electrical key is a bit of a joke/gimmick but saves you in case you leave your key card in the room. The fooftop pool area was my favorite for the views. For swimming it is not suitable. Dipping in, maybe. I felt like ice swimming back in Finland.

This is a horrible Hilton property. I'm a Diamond member and I'm shocked about the condition of this property. I was upgraded to room 1717... upgrade to what? No view, Internet is blocked, its best purpose is for a utility space

Really Nice

Great stay. Would definitely go back. If you drive use spot hero parking will be half the price for the same lot.

We can not say we where impressed. Parking area smells like weed. They are horrible and updating card information and after all that no toilet paper at all in our room. Location is the only thing they have going for them.

Nice location just a few blocks from French Quarter.

I figured with it being the Hilton, it would be much nicer & at least provide free breakfast, considering the room was over $200/night plus $40 a day parking. My boyfriend literally had to fix the toilet seat as soon as we got there, there was a smell of sewage in the hallway just off the elevator on our floor. I can say the location was fantastic for getting around to pretty much everything we wanted to do & the staff was super friendly. & It had an amazing view from the 18th floor. The view from our room, was literally a wall.

4 Stars for Customer Service- Front Desk, Restaurant and Housekeeping. Everyone I encountered
Were courteous and nice. I ordered the French toast and bacon and it did not disappoint.
Room: One Star, Need Renovation, tub rusted and hair on the rim of tub. I’m not sure HOW Housekeeping missed the hair on the tub and the raggedy torn shower curtain. Descent Room for a short stay.

Valet is third party and you can tell. Sub par service and attitude.

Firstly, the location was great. Walkable to Canal and Bourbon. However, the shower was rusted and looked dirty.
MY BIGGEST ISSUE WAS THE PARKING ATTENDANT! He name was Tamoran or something close to it. He was EXTREMELY rude and dismissive. We entered the hotel parking garage because of course you couldn't park on the street. He hurried us to the side after we asked about self parking. He never returned to answer our question so we just sat there until I asked why he didn't answer my question. We decided not to park at the hotel, so we asked if we could simply check in and said we had to pay to park and check in. He was unnecessarily rude, invaliding, and patronising. I spoke to the front office manager, Kayla upon check out. I also told a young lady at check in but I don't think it went any further. I believe this behavior needs to be addressed. Kayla told me that another company operates the parking situation.

Hello, this hotel is conveniently located in the French Quarter area, however, there were some issues within our room, the bed was very squeaky, the mattress was hard, the lighting in the bathroom wasn’t bright enough, the glass shower doors were very hard to open & close, the shower head was very high and couldn't be reached for adjusting, im 5'3 a mirror should be added in the bedroom or near the bathroom, the lobby area was nice and Kendrick was very accommodating at check in.

Front desk staff was not at all friendly. The happy hour reception never happened despite being advertised.

Disappointing Experience at Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans French Quarter

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in New Orleans French Quarter, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I had high expectations for the service and amenities, but my stay fell short in several aspects.

First and foremost, I was surprised to find that the hotel charged me for bringing my emotional support animal (ESA) dog. Many hotels are accommodating when it comes to ESA animals, and charging for their presence felt unwelcoming. A more considerate approach towards guests with ESAs would have been appreciated.

Another issue I encountered was the lack of assistance when trying to find hot water for tea. As a tea enthusiast, I was looking forward to enjoying a warm cup in the comfort of my room. Unfortunately, my attempts to seek assistance from the hotel staff proved futile, as no one seemed able to provide a solution. This lack of basic amenities and assistance left me frustrated and disappointed.

Moreover, as a loyal Hilton Honors Gold member, I expected some acknowledgment or special service during my stay. Unfortunately, there were no additional perks or amenities offered to enhance my experience. It's disheartening when a hotel fails to recognize and appreciate its loyal guests.

While the hotel's location in the French Quarter is convenient, and the rooms were reasonably comfortable, the overall experience was marred by these issues. I hope the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans French Quarter takes note of these concerns and works towards improving the guest experience, particularly for loyal Hilton Honors members who expect a higher level of service.

Okay, I'll be honest. I'm a massive Hilton lover. I have been since I was around 7 years old (thanks, Mom, for raising me as an HH member). So, an HGI seemed like a no-brainer to me.

We went down for the Sugar Bowl /New Years. Our flight got in that Saturday afternoon, and we made it to the hotel at 3:40pm CST. I know check-in is at 4 pm, so we didn't mind waiting. 4 pm rolled around. I checked on our room. Nothing. We started talking to another couple who was also waiting. 4:30. Nothing. More people show up. 5 pm. Nothing. Lobby is now filling with roughly 5 to 7 families waiting to check in.

5:30 rolls around, and my digital key finally unlocks. Yay! So we go to our room, and my husband's digital key that I share with him doesn't work. So, he asks the front desk to make him a physical key... and they can't. Our room isn't working. Mind you, you need a key to ride up the elevator to our floor - meaning he can't leave, or he has to have someone verify him repeatedly and swipe him up.

The room itself was nice. We had a suite, and I was under the impression that it was a two room suite, meaning with a door. In fact, it was just a small hallway separating the two open spaces. But the room was nice and clean, as I expected with Hilton.

The staff was also very nice and friendly. Had the check-in and key not been an issue, it would've been great, I'm sure.

In a hurry trying to get my 81 mom with aggressive cancer to NOLA for the weekend as part of her travel bucket list and missed checking reviews. Tried to get early check in, explained situation and that we were traveling several hours and she would need to rest on arrival, it was a hard NO. I understand they are sold out but start cleaning at check out, could they not have put her room at top off list? I even offered an early check in fee. Waited until 4, checked in, we paid for park and stay and when we went to park was told by garage attendant valet was only option for hotel guests, we had her mobility scooter and said we would need access still told we could not self park and forced to turn over keys. Mom took a brief nap went down for dinner. The restaurant was closed, and nothing on website indicated this there was a small sign to the side of the front desk. I chose this place because of self park and car access and ability to dine in hotel due to her frailty and getting around. Went down for breakfast $9.95 for bread items, no hot food just toast, bagels, beignets, and some cheap pastries. No cereal, no yogurt, no fruit. She asked if she could purchase a single bagel and told NO. NO empathy or help feom any desk staff, they were polite and not rude but unwilling to assist, or offer alternatives (like breakfast restaurant across the street I was not originally aware of. The only positive is unlike other reviewers are room was relatively clean. Outside of that the place is unyielding and a complete Sh☆t show. Never again.

My room was pretty nice but it does need a little bit more lighting in the room it's a little on the darker side for my preference. I did not find the service to be very good, the front desk clerk that was there at the time was not pleasant didn't greet or acknowledge my presence until I said something first. My experience with valet parking attendents upon my departure was really horrible and upsetting especially because it cost $50 a night for valet parking at the hotel. I was ignored by the parking attendents who saw me and left me standing there in the cold waiting for assistance for them to bring my car and there were no other customers there at the time. I stood in the cold for 10-15 minutes waiting for valet assistance and they were not busy at all. The young man (he might have been from Africa perhaps not sure) the parking attendant when we arrived to check in that evening was very pleasant, loved his mannerism. I have status with the Hilton properties but I would probably never ever stay at this particular Hilton property ever again due to my experience with valet and the lack of customer service from their front desk clerks.

Nice. Not terrific. The parking garage is more akin to a driving test. It's tight. Go high. Have some fun. Rooms are in a dire need of a refresh. Bathrooms have damaged ceilings and peeling walls. Not a good look. Staff. Forced pleasant at best.
