After a 6.5 hour drive, we arrived at the hotel to discover they did not have any luggage carts and when we asked if a staff member could help us, they just stared at us.
Then a family came in and one of our dogs woofed. It was NOT a full bark, it was NOT an aggressive bark, and he did not even try to leave my side where I was sitting while my sister took all of our things up to the room.
The lobby woman told me she doubts we have service dogs because of that one woof. I told her the dogs are still in training and that they are still service dogs, she gave me an ugly look and went back to the desk.
When my sister came back down, the same woman called her over and repeated that she doesn't believe we have service dogs and that if our dogs get aggressive toward guests, we would all be kicked out.
We finally all made it up to our room, feeling completely unwelcome.
My sister took a shower and the hot water went out in less than 3 minutes. The bathroom door, a sliding glass thing, would not stay closed.
Exhausted, we all went to bed early.
By morning, my sister and I were both in pain because the bed was hard as a rock.
Around 10:30 a.m., we received a call from family members back home that there'd been an emergency and we needed to come back.
We checked out of the hotel before noon on our first day and when my sister told them we were leaving due to a family emergency, they did not even offer to refund part of the stay.
If you value hotels that have friendly staff, comfortable beds and available parking, DO NOT STAY HERE.
