Very cute and accessible hotel. Check in was a breeze. Honestly, valet is not worth it and not always available. The parking garage across the street is a safe, reliable place to park overnight. You can drop off your luggage at the front door and park yourself for half the price of valet.

If you’re looking for a luxury experience this is NOT it. There’s self service coffee and tea in the mornings in the lobby, there’s also a tap for refilling water bottles and a microwave in the same little pantry area if you need to warm anything up. Snacks and bottled/canned beverages are available as well. The hotel super walkable to SO MANY great places to eat and frankly I’d rather Uber Eat or Doordash over room service for the simple reason of variety.
Our room was small but clean and functional and the bed was comfy so we were able to get a good nights sleep after exploring all day. While there isn’t an ironing board and iron in each room, we DID have a steamer which I LOVED! There are designated floors with “ironing rooms” and everything you need is located right there. My husband was thrown by the lack of a dresser or closet so he could fully unpack and ‘move in’ for the 4 days we stayed, but ended up figuring out how to hang everything on the wall pegs. It may sound weird, but it’s functional.
Like many hotels in post pandemic times, housekeeping didn’t come by during your stay unless requested.
The bar area was super cute and fun with all sorts of games to pass time with if you get stuck inside with sideways rain and flash flood warnings for a few hours.
Staff was friendly and had great recommendations for just about everything.
I would absolutely stay here again and again. For the location and value. I don’t think our experience could be matched.

Modern hotel in an old building. The mattress is super comfy.

Our room had constant noise from a giant ac unit all night.

Rooms were cozy and contemporary. The coffee in the morning was great, there were games to play and a free welcome drink at the bar. Would come back anytime.

When I say we had a ball the staff on evening shift was so lit they are a complete vibe at the bar. Good conversationalists and gave us plenty of places to check out, the drinks were perfect made on evening shift. They were the absolute best tipped them both 20 bucks each. Makes me wanna call just so I can shout them out personally

My friend and I came for a Nicki Minaj concert, but it was cancelled last minute. The hotel was nice enough to get a DJ to come in so we can have a party experience since we were pretty upset that we came all this way & paid money for a room. We appreciate the effort to please the guest & we did end up having a nice time! Only downside is there is no room service, AT ALL. More of a self help if you will. I would rebook, it just may not be my first choice!

The amount of things that have gone wrong since I have gotten here (only been here 3 hours) is insane.
1. Valet never came out 9no sign informing you that their is valet or directions), I couldn't park my car on the street via signs, and waited on hold calling the front desk for 8 minutes before I drove around the block and parked in the parking garage next door. Far, unsafe, and inconvenient. After I got to the lobby, the staff was all sitting around at the bar area and had me wait 2 minutes to get greeted...
2. The gym. Missing equipment that they have on display to workout with (take down the POINTLESS posters). There were no mats for the ground so I laid the sweat towels on the ground for my workout. I had to use 9 of them. 4 of them were for the ground and the other 5 had HAIR on them. 5 of the sweat towels 5, had a piece of hair on them. What the hell... you clearly are not washing those...
3. The bathroom/shower. I go to take a shower after my workout... and you wont believe it... all 3 of the towels they gave me had brown marks, or a whole black hand print on them. I bet you thought that yeah... that just validated me on if the hotel washed the towels lol. Naked, ready to get in the shower, I had to put back my gym clothes on, call the front desk for towels, and wait. At least the new towels they brought me were clean and warm from the dryer.
part 2 of # 3. The shower head piece that is detachable was facing the shower door and guess what... I turned that sucker on and it sprayed the whole bathroom with water. Now all my new towels were wet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :). Finally, I get to take a shower and the water went cold after 3 minutes. I luckily turned it off and 1 minute later hot water came. I've never experienced cold water come out of my hotel shower.... have you?? If so, they need to fix the water heater for a place that's supposed to shower 100+ people.
4. The Bedroom. I had crumbs on my floor, the light under the bed wasn't working and I figured it out because I saw a mysterious cord hanging from under my bed horrified thinking it was a camera or recorder. No coffee maker, and the internet on my TV is not connected. I am also right next to the elevator and across from the ice machine. literally what the heck.

I hope your experience isn't as bad as mine. At the moment, I highly DO NOT recommend this specific Moxy hotel.

Loved the experience of staying there. Rooms, service and staff were spectacular. Conveniently located near several restaurants, with a drinks in the hotel lobby. The vibe was quite memorable.Only downside is the location. The parking was a nightmare. And if you’re interested in that disgusting Bourbon Street.it’s literally minutes away.(Bring your hazmat suit), because it’s filthy, smelly and gross.Love the Moxy though.

The hotel did not have hot water and the front desk kept saying that it's a weird temporary issue and it should be fixed in no time and to just let the water to run. We were there for two nights (end of Feb 2024) and it was just lukewarm. The room also reeked of cigarettes even though it was meant to be a no-smoking room. I was surprised by how bad this was given the high reviews, would not recommend to anyone to stay here!

Our room was fine and felt clean, but the common areas (hallways, elevator, lobby) have a strong odor. Drinks from the bar were awful-don’t waste your time there, but the lobby area does have several fun areas to hang out/play games. Overall ok experience but definitely not as nice as other Moxy hotels.

I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend. We had two rooms, neither had hot water the entirety of our 4 day stay. They sent up maintenance who turned on the water and said “yep, no hot water. I’ll tell my manager” and we never heard anything again.

My room reeked of cigarettes, the smart tv didn’t work, it was missing a trash can, the sliding shower door wouldn’t stay closed so water got all over the bathroom, and the other room we rented didn’t even have a window.

I've stayed at the Moxy Munich Airport before so I was expecting trendy and funky at this branch as well. Unfortunately the execution in New Orleans is off the wall but also unusable. Rather than amusing and fun, every weird element just aggravates you because there's no underlying comfort and the staff doesn't seem to give a darn. If you're just looking for cheap and you don't plan to stay on the premises very much, this might be OK for you.

Decent trendy modern hotel. With cool features in the room and youthful vibe.

I stayed in Moxy hotels in Switzerland several times before and loved them, so I assumed I'd love this one as well. But no!
The room was big but otherwise very basic: no fridge, no window (just a blacked out mock window), no hand towels, no shampoo (I had to wash my hair with hand soap), no trash can in the room (only in the bathroom) ... There was also a gross smell in the room and stains on the sheets that looked like they could have easily been cleaned if someone actually tried. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay.
On the plus side: the location is great. It's about a ten minute walk to Bourbon Street. And the staff at the front desk was friendly, just very busy at times, so prepare for a bit of a wait.
FYI: There are two parking garages next to the hotel where you can park your car for around 30 $ a day.

I stayed in this hotel in October 2023 and it was fair. We were given terrible complimentary welcome drinks upon arrival but, I didn't care because I don't drink and asked for mixed fruit juice. I actually, liked the room setup as I opted for a 2 queen bed room because I was rooming with my sister. The room was big enough for 2 and bigger than some rooms in other hotels that I've stayed in. We had 2 TV's and the room was situated to where we both had our own private areas in separate corners. We actually, liked the setup. We didn't have a fridge but, was able to get ice from the bar downstairs whenever we wanted. However, I had an issue with our toilet leaking throughout our time there that no one came to fix. We had to use one of the bath towels to soak up the leaking water everyday. Unfortunately, my friends room, whom I was travelling with had the same exact problem with her toilet. However, hers was worse because her room actually flooded in the middle of the night and needed to be moved to another room at 3 a.m. Overall, the location was pretty good, close to everything and is in walking distance of restaurants, in addition to Canal street. They have a snack area down in the lobby so, no need to go to nearby convenience stores. The staff was fairly nice and there are games in the lobby if you plan to stay in. Would I stay here again? Maybe, yes if the price is right. But, they definitely need to get the plumbing straightened out first before making that call.

TV does not work was told that it would be fixed and never was

Great location walking distance to everything. Only thing was a little off, the sink is in the room and not the bathroom. Just a bit weird.

The check-in process was easy and the hotel offered a complimentary drink too! The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was nice and clean. The restroom was okay, could be a little bit cleaner. We were able to walk to many other locations like bourbon street. I highly recommend the moxy and would stay there again!

The rooms are very small…they didn’t have enough towels in the room and it took them 3hrs to bring us towels. No closet to put your items in. Bathroom are extremely small. The beds are small and very low to the ground. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied I don’t recommend this hotel to no one. We will not be staying there ever again

I have stayed at other Moxy properties and enjoyed them. I made a last minute booking because of my past experiences but this was clearly a mistake at this property.

The soaps in the bathroom were at most one quarter full. Worse, EACH washcloth provided had yellow stains - not clear if they’d ever been bleached.

Combined with the very small rooms,
I am disappointed and will not return. The location is good, but there are many other options in the area

cute boutique hotel, prime location walkable to numerous restaurants and establishments in French qtr. Good service. Appreciate the complimentary drink. The rooms were clean. I appreciate it the self store luggage option, If you arrive early or leave later than your checkout time. Overall, I'd recommend and look forward to staying again.
