MAYPOP

Occupying a beautiful, airy, designer space just around the corner from Lafayette Square, Maypop is part of the family that unites Mopho and Rum and the Lash. Here, chef Michael Gulotta prepares Southeast Asian-inspired cuisine such as fried egg noodles with jumbo gulf shrimp, pan-fried scallops with turmeric and Cambodian-style marinated beef flank steak. The desserts are in the same spirit and the restaurant also makes its own ice creams. On weekdays, from 4 to 6 pm, discounts are offered on some alcohols and appetizers.
