A little a compared to the French Quarter but within walking distance, the Barge is a den for the local population. The style of this restaurant is perfectly suited to the neighbourhood: unpretentious, simple, relaxing. The place is gay friendly. However, you shouldn't ask servers to be kind, unless they find you cute. The breakfast card is served all day. Hamburgers are one of their specialties, but the omelettes are also delicious (between US $ 15 and US $ 4). Sometimes you have to wait for a table. The clientele is eclectic. During Tuesday Gras, it's the perfect place to rest from the crowd and relax before you go back.
