The bus station is located at the same place as the train station. The Greyhound company is located there and serves about 20 cities and towns in Louisiana, in addition to connecting with the rest of the country. There are also two low-cost companies, Megabus (us.megabus.com) which allows to go to Baton Rouge and elsewhere in the United States, and FlixBus (flixbus.fr/bus/etats-unis) which serves Baton Rouge, Lafayette and other American cities.

NOLA CYCLES

Bike rental

Located in the French Quarter, this store proposes not only the rent of bikes, but also electric scooters in standing or sitting version (we have a big crush for the latter). The rental rates are per hour and usually have a time limit (24 hours for the bikes, 1 or 2 hours for the electric scooters). For both small and large groups, evening guided tours with illuminated bikes are available. Although reservations are not required for rentals, we highly recommend it.

Getting around by bike

This self-service system is offered in several areas of the city. It allows you to borrow a bike from one of the stations according to two separate packages. The first is pay-per-use, or 15₵/minute plus a US$1 release fee. The second is a monthly subscription at a cost of US$25 (1 hour free per day, 15₵/minute thereafter, no unlocking fee). It is extremely beneficial for people making short trips each time. The app available for phones is quite handy for locating stations.
