CAPO DE MILAZZO

2 km from the centre of Milazzo (an AST bus will take you there from the port or you can walk there for an hour and a half), at the end of the peninsula, this cape offers a superb view of the Aeolian Islands with, below, some pretty beaches. The best time to go there is at sunset. Bars and ice cream parlours await the summer visitors. Take the path lined with cactus, then turn left past the low stone wall. The dirt road turns into steps that lead to natural pools. The climb is a bit strenuous but you are rewarded by the view.
