A palace dating back to 1904, with a homely garden, with garden. Very comfortable and spectacular view both on the sea and Etna. The 85 rooms are spacious, clean and equipped with everything you can expect from a 4-star. A classic style sober and elegant with modern comfort.

Gleich zu Beginn: Ich hatte dort kein Zimmer gebucht. Auf einer sehr langen Wanderung habe ich gefragt, um das WC nutzen zu dürfen. Die Dame an der Rezeption hatte es mir aber verweigert, da ich kein Gast sei. Das verstehe ich irgendwie auch. Meine Situation war aber unangenehm und dringlich, was ich deutlich gemacht hatte - auch dass ich gern zahlen würde. Auch das wurde kategorisch abgelehnt. Mir wurde in einem kleinen Restaurant geholfen. Leider bestätigen sich mir durch diese Erfahrung wieder einmal mehr die Unterschiede in der Hilfsbereitschaft. Oder einfach Menschlichkeit?

Hotel antigo, mas bem conservado. Não tem grandes modernidades. A maioria dos ambientes tem móveis mais antigos, o que o torna bastante interessante. Café da manhã de razoável para bom. As vistas são incríveis. Dá para ver o mar e o vulcão de muitos dos quartos.

Everything was fine with our stay in February, 2024. The staff is very helpful. They got our rental car in their parking for 15 euro/night, but the option to drop off your luggage, get and park your car and then vice versa is priceless, especially when you travel with infant 1.8 y/o. The breakfast was fantastic, I really liked the ricotta cheese, if you want espresso coffee however, you need to order to the waiter. The hotel is somehow with old look but I don't mind it. We slept like babies here despite the beds in whole Sicily are hard for the most EU standards. And the last but not least, the view to Etna was wonderful.
