The oldest church in the city, at the top of a staircase, offering a beautiful view of Ibla.
At the top of a staircase, then, stands the church "Sainte-Marie des Escaliers". It is the oldest church in the town, it was rebuilt at the end of the 17th century keeping parts of the original 15th century structure as well as the portal and the bell tower. The Gothic and Renaissance interior has a polychrome terracotta altarpiece. From its rocky outcrop you can enjoy a beautiful view of Ibla. On the other side of the stairs stands Santa Maria dell'Idria, a church built in 1739 by the Knights of the Order of Malta. Its beautiful bell tower is decorated with faience.
