NILE BREWERIES

For fans of Nile Special, the flagship brand of the Nile Breweries (founded in 1951, the brewery group is now owned by the multinational AB InBev), free one-hour guided tours are organised on Thursday afternoons between 2 and 4 pm. The tours follow the beer production process from the malting of the barley to the bottling process. Visits reserved for adults only. Reservation required. The factory is four kilometres from downtown Jinja, on the road to Kampala (left bank).
