The 7,000-hectare sanctuary, guarded 24 hours a day by rangers, allows tourists to get up close and personal with the rhinos. The guides will reveal all the secrets of these endangered perissodactyls. Other guided activities (US$35 per adult) are offered on site: night walk (duration: 2 to 3 hours), shoebill canoe ride (duration: 3 to 4 hours) and birding/nature walk (duration: 2 to 3 hours). Don't forget to brush yourself with repellent and wear covering clothes! Many tour operators include a reserve on their programs.
