Created in 1992, KAFRED (Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development) is a community association promoting solidarity tourism. Probably the best in the region for these excursions. In addition to the visit of the swamps, the team organizes outings in the village to discover the local habits and customs. It is possible to taste a traditional meal or to attend a dance show. 75% of the revenues generated by its various activities help finance development projects in Bigodi and the surrounding area.
