The Baha'i Temple was dedicated in January 1961. With its octagonal dome, it overlooks a beautiful garden that embraces the slopes of Kikaya Hill. The park, with its beautiful panoramas, its ornithological and botanical richness, its benches and its tempting lawn, is undoubtedly the most pleasant of the city. The Bahá'í Faith, which originated in Shiism, was introduced to Uganda in 1951 by a handful of co-religionists from Iran and the United Kingdom. To find out more about this syncretic religion, don't hesitate to ask the friendly guides present in situ.
