Luxurious hotel with presidential suites, comfortable rooms and Olympic-size swimming pool on the shores of Lake Victoria
Built in 2001 and host to Commonwealth Presidents and Prime Ministers at the 2007 conference, the beach version of the Speke Hotel is located 12 kilometres from downtown and has the advantage of overlooking the shores of Lake Victoria. Undoubtedly luxurious, the hotel has 59 presidential suites with an Afro-Chic feel and well-equipped rooms, a horse riding centre and Uganda's only Olympic swimming pool. This is a quality resort with good points. Bars and restaurants are up to scratch.
